111111.

Beautiful Lia, getting ready for the big ceremony.

11/11/11 NOLA

The best wedding I have ever attended was in New Orleans. The city was the most lovely display of a old pirate tendencies, haunted by old confederate soldiers, jazz poured out of the water stained walls, food that could rival any french bistro and with people who are alive with their history and culture. More than anything, what made this the best wedding ever (even though I had to work as the photographer...not bad at all) was that the people who got married were so amazing. Down to earth in the "hey, you want to go on a adventure with me." kind of way and they also choose to be married in a old colonial house in the French quarter,The Beauregard-Keyes House. Once owned by a confederate General Pierre Gustave Toutant (P.G.T.) Beauregard and novelist Frances Parkinson Keyes. The wedding was followed by a second line procession which was fabulous and a blast. Truly original. I fell in love with New Orleans, I never drank so much champagne in my life. Ahhh, life is good with the bubbly.
